As for the match itself: NRL Shooters will enjoy sending rounds across the Texas Hill Country terrain from elevated positions on cedar-covered hilltops, aiming into open fields and pastures. Weather dependent, we will start at first light and run 12 stages or as many as we can without getting exhausted or overheated, Day 2 will consist of the remaining 6 stages.
This is a great opportunity to experience the NRL Hunter format, especially for those looking to learn in a practical and engaging setting.

• Focus: This is a TEAMS minded match---heavy encouragement to help us have the most Teams ever---you will see heavy sided REWARDS for Teams shooters.

• Practical shots, realistic and natural positions, real-world hunting scenarios. No BS, just field style shooting.

• Physical Requirements:* Light hiking on top of the Hill Course and be prepared to walk or catch a ride if your truck isn’t a 4×4 from designated parking areas.

• ATV/UTV Use: Allowed. This is fairly short course, less than a mile. UTV tow vehicles parked in designated parking, there is NO GOING BACK TO YOUR VEHICLE DURING THE MATCH, BRING EVERYTHING YOU NEED UP THE HILL.

• DAY 1 & 2 Location & Directions** In between Hico (20 minutes) and Glen Rose (15 minutes) (Near Chalk Mountain) From Hwy 220, turn Left or South-East on CR 199 for 2.5 miles to Day 1/ Day 2 Access Gate. The gate entrance will be on your right**.

• IMPORTANT: DO NOT GET DIRECTIONS to Rough Creek Lodge.The shooting area is located approximately 10 minutes west of the lodge.

SCHEDULE

FRIDAY JUNE 5th
RO SHOOT DAY:
6:30AM – RO competitor safety briefing
7:00AM – RO's shoot for points amongst all hunters and are eligible for prizes (all stages)
1:00PM - Lunch Provided for RO's who are shooting.
3:00PM – Weigh-in/Velocity at Check-in / Zero Range immediately after completion

HUNTER CHECK-IN DAY:
2PM – 7PM – Check-in, Weigh-in, Zero, Velocity, Targets at Distance, Vendor Day

(Please contact MD if you cannot check in Friday, we will have a Straggler's Weigh-in/ Power Factor on various stages, during or after Day 1...don’t risk it if your close to being over, Friday is the only day to practice shoot.)

SATURDAY JUNE 6th
6:30AM: Safety Brief-on the Hill Check OnX map: road up the hill is very steep, Cars and trucks with trailers park in designated parking areas. NO GOING BACK TO YOUR VEHICLE DURING THE MATCH, BRING EVERYTHING YOU NEED UP THE HILL!
7:15AM – GO HOT– Lunch provided on the go
Stragglers Weigh-in/ Power Factor on various stages, (during or after Day 1...don’t risk it if your close to being over)
12:00PM – Lunch Provided on the go
3:00PM – Intended time of Day 1 completion

Near the range social- Loco Coyote 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Live Music, Cold Beer, Great food outdoor and indoor seating.

SUNDAY JUNE 7th
6:45AM – Hunters on stages
7:00AM – Intended time to begin (6 Stages)
1:00PM – Intended time of Day 2 completion
Awards begin immediately after match completion. Meal Provided.
Location of Awards: Rough Creek Pavillon-(go back towards Zero range follow signs)

SQUADING:

Self squad: You are able to self squad within this page. Any competitor that has not chosen a squad by May 15th, will be placed in a squad by the MD.

Individual competitors: We will allow 3 per squad.

Team competitors: We will allow 2 Team’s per squad.

Skills competitors: We will allow 1 Skill per squad.

Young Gun competitors: Will compete in the same squad as their parent or guardian.

This is to help the flow of the match and allow us to complete the course of fire in a more timely fashion.

MD reserves the right to adjust the squads as deemed necessary.

AIRPORT: DFW Airport-1 to 1.5 hours

LODGING: Rough Creek has a beautiful Lodge and rental houses for rent- ask for discounted NRL Rate on Lodge.

One note: there is a big wedding that weekend at the Resort so availability is limited.

Glen Rose is your closest bet for traditional motels (16 miles). Stephenville has more options at 25 miles away and Hico has less options and 20 miles away but has some AirB&B's and boutique hotels.

CAMPING: Not on the Ranch, Glen Rose has a nice State park 15 miles away.

RANGE OFFICERS:

*Since we are capped on RO’s shooting for score, if you’re interested in RO'ing this event and NOT shooting for score, we are looking for volunteer RO’s, any volunteers will be able to proof the course of fire on May 30th weekend, you will get plenty of quality range time and practice. OTHER NOTES:

No refunds will be available but if you need to sell your slot just keep us in the loop and we can adjust as needed.

Skills entries will be limited to 18 spots (1 per Squad) on a first come first serve basis. While there are no Skills discounts you receive a free train-up class with shooting on Friday from 5-6:30 pm at the Zero Range where we cover the 3 types of stages, tips and tricks on what you should be doing during the match, finding, ranging and building stable positions, and maximizing points. Learn from 3 seasoned NRL shooters that will be helping us with demo's. This alone is worth the price of admission.
