Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge

The Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge is back June 5–7, 2026, at the world-class North Springs Shooting Complex in Eastern Utah—one of the most scenic and challenging venues in the country (see it here).

Set against rugged canyons and thick cedar terrain, this match captures the spirit of a real hunt. Competitors will hike between stages, build creative shooting positions, and engage steel targets from 200–1000 yards. Every stage is designed to push your skills while keeping the experience fun, memorable, and rewarding.

On Friday, June 5th, check-in and weigh-in kick things off with a vendor showcase—your chance to handle and demo the latest gear from top brands before the shooting begins.

The match will feature 19 stages, with a round count between 76–152 rounds. Expect realistic hunting scenarios that test decision-making, marksmanship, and gear under field conditions. While this is a true challenge, we’ve built the course to make sure the FUN factor stays front and center.

We’re also proud to support the next generation of shooters: limited free youth spots are available with an adult entry, so be sure to sign up early.

Please note: There are no refunds for this event. However, if you cannot attend, you may sell your slot—just let the match staff know so we can update the roster.

SEEKING RANGE OFFICERS

IF you’re interested in ROing this event, please submit an RO Application above. Anyone may apply, however, space is limited and not guaranteed.

To help us reward quality ROs during the 2-day event, vetted individuals will be offered a complimentary slot for an opportunity to complete all stages in 1-day timeframe (on the RO Shoot Day). This will be for points amongst the other hunters and for prize eligibility. The opportunity at this is set to take place on the competitor Check-in Day.

• Start on your next stage and begin shooting at 7:00 AM

• 12:00 PM Estimated time of completion
