Set in the rolling mesquite country north of Amarillo, the second annual Dust Devil Duel match returns for 2026 with 20 challenging hunting-simulated stages spread across a 1.5-mile firing line. This event captures the true West Texas experience—wide open country, unpredictable terrain, and plenty of wind. Amarillo officially holds the title of windiest city in America, so come ready to make strong wind calls and trust your dope. Competitors will engage targets from 0 to 999.9 yards, with a mix of terrain and shooting positions that emphasize real-world hunting skills. Expect a test of both precision and efficiency, with targets that reward clean ranging and confident execution. The match is very walkable but to try and be as efficient as possible UTVs are highly encouraged.

Parking and check-in will take place at the radio tower just north of Reclamation Plant Road.
Breakfast and lunch will be served on Saturday, and Sunday will include breakfast followed by the return of the prime rib dinner during the awards ceremony immediately after the match. The Dust Devil Duel consistently attracts a strong field of experienced NRL Hunter competitors from across the country, all looking to test their skills against the distance and wind of the Texas Panhandle. The event combines a professional environment with a relaxed atmosphere, offering a weekend of challenging stages, great food, and genuine camaraderie that defines the NRL Hunter community.

No refunds will be available but if you need to sell your slot just keep us in the loop and we can adjust as needed.

And again, just to be clear, there will be absolutely zero smoking anywhere at the match.

FRIDAY, APRIL 24 – RO SHOOT & REGISTRATION
* 7:00 AM: RO shoot begins (ROs will complete all stages for score and points eligibility)
* 2:00–5:00 PM: Main competitor registration and zero range open

SATURDAY, APRIL 25 – DAY 1
* 7:00 AM: Gates open, breakfast burritos provided
* 7:20 AM: Mandatory safety brief
* 8:00 AM: Shooters on stages and first rounds downrange
* 12 stages total for the day
* Lunch provided on-site

SUNDAY, APRIL 26 – DAY 2
* 7:30 AM: Breakfast served
* 8:00 AM: Shooters on stages and match resumes
* 8 stages total for the day
* Prime rib dinner and awards ceremony immediately following match completion
